* Thu Feb 02 2006 - Release of a GPL compliant 2.01.01a05-ossdvd
  patch. This patch is for cdrtools-2.01.01a05.tar.bz2 and is adjusted
  to work with linux kernel 2.6.12 or higher and can be compiled with
  gcc-4.0.x. The rawio patch using libcap has been migrated to
  cdrtools-2.01.01a05-rawio.patch.bz2 . The patch called
  cdrtools-2.01.01-scsibuf.patch.bz has become redundant, as this has
  been integrated inside cdrtools-2.01.01a05.tar.bz2 . RPMS and SRPMS
  have been updated for mandriva 2006.0. The order of applying patches
  is now :
  1. cdrtools-2.01.01a05-ossdvd.patch.bz2     .ossdvd
  2. cdrtools-2.01.01a01-DVD-speed.patch.bz2  .dvd-speed
  3. cdrtools-2.01.01a05-rawio.patch.bz2      .rawio
  4. cdrtools-2.01.01a01-scanbus.patch.bz2    .scanbus
  Warly's Cdrecord DVD patch and others can now be found on
  http://people.mandriva.com/~warly/files/cdrtools/

* Mon Nov 28 2005 - Release of a GPL compliant 2.01.01a03-ossdvd
  patch. The patch is for cdrtools-2.01.01a03.tar.bz2 and is adjusted
  to work with linux kernel 2.6.12 or higher and can be compiled with
  gcc-4.0.x. It also solves this bug : "cdrecord: Cannot get disk type."

* Mon Nov 28 2005 - Release of a adjusted GPL compliant patch,
  called 2.01.01a01-2ossdvd. The patch is for
  cdrtools-2.01.01a01.tar.bz2 and is adjusted to work with linux
  kernel 2.6.12 or higher and can be compiled with gcc-4.0.x. It
  also solves this bug : "cdrecord: Cannot get disk type."

* Tue Oct 25 2005 - a patch that fixes speed display when burning
  DVDs. The first is quite obvious - I cannot understand why nobody
  has done this fix. The second provides additional speed info because
  the speed values in cdrecord are stored in integer variable which
  truncates a speed, say, of 2.4 to 2.0. The patch is called
  cdrtools-2.01.01a01-DVD-speed.patch.bz2 and should be applied
  right after cdrtools-2.01.01a01-ossdvd.patch.bz2
  - John Witford

* Thu Jun 16 2005 - Release of a GPL compliant 2.01.01a01-ossdvd patch.
  The ossdvd patch is migrated to work with cdrtools-2.01.01a01.tar.bz2,
  and is cdrtools-2.01.01a01-ossdvd.patch. The latest efforts from Warly
  at http://people.mandrakesoft.com/~warly/files/cdrtools/ have been
  merged. Quite of number of unnecessary CDB: error messages have been
  removed. Functionality of this release covers : DVD-R, DVD-RW,
  DVD+RW and DVD+R DL. DVD+R burns ok, but lead-in and/or lead-out is not
  ok. This release should work with any 2.6.x kernel.

* Fri Aug 27 2004 - Release of a GPL compliant 2.01a32-ossdvd patch.
  The ossdvd patch is migrated to work with cdrtools-2.01a32.tar.bz2, and is
  called cdrtools-2.01a32-ossdvd.patch. In addition the speed selection
  routine speed_select_mdvd() has been merged from Warly's efforts at
  http://people.mandrakesoft.com/~warly/files/cdrtools/ . The speed=2
  speed selection now works for burning DVD's, but fails when reading.
  For mandrake 10.0 new RPMS and SRPM are created.

* Fri Aug 27 2004 - Adjusted the cdrtools-2.01a32 version to build cleanly
  when using a 2.6.x linux kernel. Inside include/utypes.h some extra
  typedefs are added for details see the cdrtools-2.01a32-ossdvd.patch.

* Sun May 30 2004 - Release of RPMS and SRPM for Fedora Core 2 (fc2) and
  SuSE 9.0 (suse90). The OSS DVD Extensions patch was added to the SRPM's of
  fc2 and suse90. Your cdrecord binary will be replaced with a version with
  the
  	mmc_mdvd            generic SCSI-3/mmc DVD-R(W) driver
  added as an extra driver.

* Sun May 23 2004 - Release of a GPL compliant 2.01a27-ossdvd patch.
  The ossdvd patch is migrated to work with cdrtools-2.01a27.tar.bz2, and is
  called cdrtools-2.01a27-ossdvd.patch. Inside drv_mmc.c media and driver
  selection using profiles has been further adjusted. Inside the SRPM for
  mandrake 10.0 cdrtools-2.01a27-dvd.patch.bz2 has been replaced with
  cdrtools-2.01a27-ossdvd.patch.bz2 and created an adjusted SRPM and RPMS for
  mandrake 10.0. People running Fedora Core 2 and SuSE 9.1 are encouraged
  to update their cdrtools packages also.

* Sat May 22 2004 - added the cdrtools-2.01a18-u8.patch.bz2 patch :
  typedef unsigned char u8; to have it compile with kernel 2.6.6 and higher.
  Add this patch if you build cdrtools-2.0x using a linux machine which
  run kernel 2.6.6 or higher. cdrtools-2.01a18 will run as expected when
  using kernel 2.6.x and the ide-scsi.o driver.
  Created SRPM and RPMS for mandrake 10.0.

* 08 jan 2004 - I've cleaned up your patch quite a bit. replacing spaces
  with tabs, and make everything fit 80 columns. It's the almost the patch
  as before, except for the whitespaces and some changes in cdrecord/drv_mmc.c
  in the cdr_mdvd structure, and "EXPORT INT" for check_writemodes_mdvd.
  This takes care of warnings during compilation. - Jeff Chua

* 23 dec 2003 - updated patch created by based on the previous 2.01a18 patch.
  - Jeff Chua

* 27 nov 2003 - Release of a GPL compliant 2.01a18-ossdvd patch.
  The ossdvd patch is updated to work with cdrtools-2.01a18.tar.bz2, and is
  called cdrtools-2.01a18-ossdvd.patch. In adddition sched_setscheduler() is
  fixed to be called after seteuid(0) inside cdrecord.c, which allows
  non-root users, using a GUI like e.g. xcdroast v.0.98alpha14, to
  activate burnfree. It solves a typical bug when switching on burnfree
  when being a non-root user :

  cdrecord: Operation not permitted. WARNING: Cannot set RR-scheduler
  cdrecord: Permission denied. WARNING: Cannot set priority using setpriority().
  cdrecord: WARNING: This causes a high risk for buffer underruns.

  typical bug reports are found here :

* 05 oct 2003 - Release of a GPL compliant 2.0-ossdvd patch.
  This patch adresses GPL 2 subclause c. All SRPMS and RPMS, except for
  the SuSE version, were recreated and have the extension ossdvd instead
  of dvd.

* 16 jun 2003 - Release of RPMS and SRPM for redhat 9. The OSS DVD
  Extensions patch was added to the SRPM of redhat 9. So your cdrecord
  binary will be replaced with a version with the
  	mmc_mdvd            generic SCSI-3/mmc DVD-R(W) driver
  added as an extra driver.

* 16 jun 2003 - Added a RPM and SRPM release for SuSE 8.2. I mirrored these
  from http://volker.dnsalias.net/soft/rpm/suse8.2/ .
  Thanks go to Volker Kuhlmann.
